1) everyone gets Versatile Expertise (PHB3)Feat for free
This will apply to your implement and weapon attacks. Unfortunately, this feat is basically a math fix (without it PCs get less accurate as they level up) so if you don't like missing you should take it. the math doesn't start to get wonky until later levels. Some DMs house rule that everyone gets this for free, so you might want to ask your DM about that.
